PROFILE OLUMUYIWA OJELABI
Olumuyiwa Ojelabi is seasoned Public Relations and Communication Practitioner, whose strength is in the management of public information and managing the expectations of citizens as far as government projects, programmes and initiatives are concerned. She has over 25 years of cognate experience in the private and public sector.
Prior to joining Lagos State Government Civil Service in 2000, she worked with Transrapid Nigeria Limited, Ogba, Lagos as Public Relations Officer and executed strategies that created a positive image for the company. In the State Civil Service, she handled Public Relations for Ministries and Agencies in her various postings, including, Drain Drucks, Office of State’s Accountant General, Office of Commissioner for Information and Strategy and Ministry of the Environment. Oluwatoyin Adedoyinsola Eniola Nwosu was born into the family of Chief & Mrs. Oluseye Gbogboade Solomon Adeseun.
She attended the prestigious FESTAC Girls Secondary School, Lagos secondary.
Mrs. Nwosu started her career in Festac Newspapers as a reporter, but because of her Love for mathematics, she went in for a certificate course in Accounting at Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic), Abeokuta, where she obtained a certificate in Accounting.
She then crossed over to her main career choice, which is Journalism.
Coupled with the passion and love she has for her desired career, she attended Time Journalism Institute, Lagos, where she obtained a Diploma in Journalism. She would later add a BA (English) and a Masters in Communications Studies (MCS), both from Lagos State University. She was recently awarded a Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from the Bradley University(ILLINOIS, U.S.A).
